Can I pray for you, friend?

by | Aug 6, 2020 | Friendship | 0 comments

I was going to write something about how mama can keep a sound mind during a pandemic and social unrest.

But after I looked around, I realized that I can’t.

I can tell you about giving yourself and people around you more grace, how you should have a routine, stop watching the news, and read more bible, etc,

but…

For my friends whose husbands just lost their job, and you have a baby in your tummy, a family to feed, all the while you have to swallow the bitterness of the dreams you built for years being shattered.

To my friends who have to keep a good facade for your family and friends, but quietly suffer anxiety attacks off and on.

To my friends who experience excruciating headaches, or paralyzed from the side affects of your medicine.

To my friends who live in a constant claustrophobic condition of homeschooling kids, and taking care of a house all on your own.

To my friends who have been beaten down, depressed, depleted by the mess of this world—I have no tip and tricks to help you.

But I can pray for you.

And I will share this passage from preacher Pricilla Shire to lift you up:

When things get iffy, Remember who you are —

You are a child of God. You have peace with God.

You are completely forgiven and you are tenderly loved.

You are a sweet fragrance of Christ to God.

You are a temple in which God dwells.

You are blameless and you are beyond reproach.

You are the salt of the earth, you are the light of the world, you are chosen by Christ to bear fruit.

You are a joint heir with Christ, you share in His inheritance with Him.

You are united to the Lord, one spirit with Him.

You are a member of the body of Christ.

You are a saint, you are hidden with Christ in God.

You are chosen by God. You are a child of light.

You are a member of a chosen race.

You are a royal priesthood.

You are a holy nation.

You are a people for God’s own possession created to sing praises to God.

You are firmly rooted and built up in Christ.

You are born out of God, the evil one, he cannot touch you.

You have the mind of Christ, you can approach God with boldness, freedom and confidence.

You have been rescued from satan’s domain.

You have been transferred to the kingdom of Christ.

You have been made complete in Christ.

You have not been given a Spirit of fear, but given power of love and a sound mind.

All of your needs will be met by God.

You are royalty in God’s kingdom.

You have been adopted as God’s child.

You have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit.

You can be assured that all things work together, for the good of them who love Him, and are called according to His purposes.

You are free! Free from any condemning charges against you.

Nothing, I mean nothing, can separate you from the love of God in Jesus Christ.

You have been established, anointed, and sealed by God.

You can be confident in this very thing: that the good work God has started in you, He will be faithful to bring all the way to completion.

You are a citizen of heaven. You are God’s coworker.

You are seated with Christ in heavenly places.

You are God’s workmanship, and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

In Jesus name, amen.

Who are you praying for today?
Can you join us to praying for the healing of our nation too?
