Sometimes God Only Wants You to Take a Stand for Him

”Keep your hands to yourself.” This is one saying we teach our children over and over again — we are teaching them boundaries. Boundaries are the foundations of God’s design for our world.

Everything has boundaries. Boundaries define countries, states, cities, our homes, our responsibilities. Boundaries keep us safe. It tells me what belongs to me and what doesn’t.

But so often we forget, who the real owner is.

Everything on this earth belongs to our God. He has the ultimate ownership of it.

So what will a real owner do? He will take care of everything that belongs to him.

Mathew 6:26: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

In short, God can do anything.

We have no boundaries facing Him because He is the owner, and He will take care of us in eternity.

What He expects of us is simple: be obedient and be the light and the salt. Stand up for Him. And don’t cross HIS boundaries.

I am convinced, there is no cause He cares more about than babies in the womb.

Ok, I know some of you readers will turn your eyes away the moment you read that sentence.

But please bear with me just this time. Don’t you want some different perspective on an issue so controversial? Yet, so important? I know I would like to know the reasoning behind both sides.

So, here we go.

There is no doubt: God is close to the most vulnerable, with absolutely no defense, because God is love and mercy.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13

“So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” Mathew 18:14

When people say that they hate murder but claim that the Bible did not actually point out the best way to prevent abortion; thus, abortion is ok—they are wandering into the wrong territory.

They are violating God’s boundaries.

Those people can make up more charts, get more expert’s opinions, and do more research to prove their point of view. The fact is, God knows.

He knows people are sinful in nature and selfish at their core.

So abortion will always exist, just like alcoholism, pornography, adultery, murder, sickness, and death will always exist in this world.

But the problems are: the government doesn’t fund the liquour industry or adult film industry, and people don’t make excuses after excuses for those sinful practices.

We all know those are destructive behaviors because our conscience tells us so, the conscience God predestined as a divine gift to put in our mind before we were even born.

Nobody is waiting for some expert solutions to appear before condemning those.

Our conscience should tell us abortion is wrong too.

We should never condemn women who had an abortion, God loves those souls just as much as anyone, but we can’t change the fact that God is not pleased with abortion.

But people don’t want to take a stand because: “oh, who will take care of these children after they are being born?”

Or “if we defunded plan parenthood, girls will just go to those illegal clinics.”

On and on, the list of excuses go.

Because of all of the excuses, now we have people pushing the right to abort a baby up to, and sometimes even after, the moment before birth. I mean, how evil can it be?

I could tell them, don’t they know there is a severe shortage of babies to be adopted in America?

I could tell them, despite a small percentage of women, the reason for most abortion is simply because it’s not convenient, and convenience is one of the idols our world worships.

I could tell them there are good men and women in pregnancy centers all over the country praying day and night to help those moms.

I could even tell them that yes, a woman’s body is hers, but her child’s body is her child’s and God’s.

The location of a baby doesn’t change his identity. He or she is a child of God.

No, I am not going to elaborate on all the reasons for pro-lifers here, because if anyone really wants to know, there is plenty of information on the internet.

But I would just say what this post started: God will take care of all the results. He just wants you to take a stand.

Will you take a stand?

“Rescue those who are being taken away to death;

hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.

If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,”

does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?

Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it,

and will he not repay man according to his work?”
Proverb 24:11-12
