One of my favorite habits I’ve created over the last few months is praying over my babies before I go to sleep.
I make it a point to go in their rooms even if Dada has already checked on them. Consistency. 🌟
Most of the time it’s a quick prayer, 30-60 seconds. Some nights I linger and soak up the serenity.
I always pray for their protection- mind, body and soul. I give thanks for the extravagant gifts they are to me. I pray for their salvation and that they would be filled with faith.
When I linger, I pray for their future (not as often as I should… progress not perfection) For the friends they’ll have, their future spouses. I ask God to graciously place God-fearing mentors in their lives to love and guide them- just like he did for me.
I pray for sweet dreams and sound sleep and good health.
The power of a praying Mama cannot be overlooked. I will be the first one to admit I do not give prayer the reverence it deserves. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
I believe in the power and I am working on becoming more of a prayer warrior!
How’s your prayer life? Have you experienced an undeniable answer to prayer recently?
Love, Jill Chambers
