It’s Christmas Day. Presents, Christmas tree, and childrens’ smiles flashed and sparkled under the lights.
After capturing plenty of video and pictures of our family opening their presents, I felt an urge to step outside and sit down in the bright December morning sun. Alone.
A wave of gratitude overcomes me. With my eyes closed, I asked God, “what can I do for you, Father? You have given me so much—my family, my house, my gifts, my life. You have given me everything. What can I do for you? I don’t have much to give to you!”
He whispered back in my heart:”just love me.”
That’s all I need to do.
I have nothing to give to Him, except my problems, my rebellious ways, and my quests.
And He took it all in and gave me back everything beautiful.
Graves into gardens.
Beauty for ashes.
Dry bones came back to life.
Just praise Him, friends. He is the only one worthy of our unceasing praise.
Talk to Him often, bare our hearts to Him. He is our one true friend.
He understands, He knows and He cares.
And all our Father needs from us is love.
