Clear Your Spiritual boundaries

Have you ever seen the superheroes in the movies? When evil opponents throw a power blast at them, they magically produce an invisible and powerful energy shied to cover themselves?

We need a daily reminder to put on a spiritual shield to protect ourselves.

The devil is like a roaming lion. His main enjoyment is observing us, finding our weak spots, setting up traps which specifically targeted our weaknesses, and defeating us.

So, let our mornings start with this prayer:

Dear Father, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit, please place a spiritual shield around me today. Cover me from head to toe and protect me.

Give me the wisdom to discern what are my boundaries.

From my past experiences, I know that when I step out of my boundaries, say things I shouldn’t, participate in activities I shouldn’t join, or associate with people who are not meant for me, I have always met with regrets.

But when I live within the boundaries you set out for me, my heart will be filled with joy. When I am on beat with the rhythm you designed for me, my work becomes effortless.

So give me an outline of my day today, please Father. Sanctify my hours with things that are true, right, noble, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Let my heart be in tune with the Holy Spirit, so when he is speaking to me, I will hear him.

Set up healthy boundaries in every aspect of my life: the food I put into my body, my social interactions, my work, and my efforts. Help me make wise choices throughout the day.

Thank you, Father.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
